The Model 580 is
a useful combination of our lightweight Halogen illuminator, and a Donegan OptiVISOR®. This product is perfect for all applications and procedures where clear magnification and a natural white light increase accuracy and productivity.
The greater the magnification the shorter the focal length and the smaller the field of view. Therefore the least power lens plate necessary to meet your magnifying requirements should be selected. The 3 diopter lens plate is the default for this product because of its popularity. The 14 inch working distance makes it the most practical for 95% of all applications. Dermatologist and Aestheticians typically use the 5 dipter lens (2.5x power at 8").
This product is not recommended for procedures that place it at risk of being contaminated with body fluids, blood or tissue.
